The taxis were officially launched at Marble Arch by Cllr. Alan Weinberg, Leader of Redbridge Council. Filled with Drugsline staff and volunteers, the taxis then travelled in convoy to Victoria Station and then on to Liverpool Street Station handing out balloons, leaflets and other promotional materials to passers-by, raising awareness of the work of the organisation.
Rabbi Sufrin, Drugsline’s Executive Director, commented: “Drugsline is grateful to all those who have made this campaign possible. It is thanks to such generous donations that Drugsline is able to continue our hard work preventing damaged lives and encouraging open and honest dialogue between people of all ages.”
Cllr. Alan Weinberg added: “I am delighted to be here today at the official launch of Drugsline’s branded taxi campaign. I have been a keen supporter of Drugsline for many years and I know that the invaluable work it continues to carry out, is vital to the community in Redbridge and across the whole of the country.”
Drugsline have also produced branded receipts available free of charge to taxi drivers. To receive these receipts, please email jacqui@drugsline.org including your full postal address.
The campaign has been made possible thanks to advertising space generously donated by Tony Cohen, T&J Taxis and Asher Moses, MD of Taxi Promotions (print, production and expertise).
